It happened this Parent’s Weekend! Someone’s mom woke up at 5 am and saw a bedbug in her hotel bed! You can image her fright and anxiety! Hotel management was contacted and the family waited for the daytime manager to arrive at 7 am. The hotel changed their room, laundered their belongings, and gave them a free hotel stay. Perform a Quick Bed Inspection
Most hotels perform regular inspections on their hotel rooms to prevent bed bugs. What can you do?
• Generally, bed bugs are found near a bed’s headboard. Look at the mattress seams carefully.
• Place your suitcase on the luggage stand or top of the dresser or counter. Or better yet, keep your suitcase in the bathroom.
• When returning home, unpack outside, store your luggage in the garage and wash your clothes immediately in hot water.
